Large purple blooms with mottled buds appear in spring on short stems. This very reliable, slowly bulking up in free draining soils ideally in the alpine container or garden. Best planted in a sunny position.

    I have already let you know that all the compost fell out when I unpacked it as it had been laid on its side. I’m hoping it will recover. On the whole I wasn’t very happy with the packaging. It was very wet and disintegrated when handled.
