Description

Our own variety of the longipetala range with deep orange sunset colours.

This is a great hardy form of Lewisia bred by us a few years back and varies slightly with growing conditions of light levels. It is a great addition to the alpine rock garden or container.

Common Name: Truckee lewisia

Life Cycle: perennial

Family: Montiaceae

Foliage: lanceolate

Basic Colour: ( orange )

Flower Colour: orange

Natural Flowering: April – July

Winter Hardiness: Fully Hardy

Height with Flowers: 10cm

Soil Requirements:  average / moist / dry / well-drained / sandy

Soil ph: acidic / neutral

Location:  container / cottage garden / border / rock garden

Usage: ornamental / bee food plant / attracts butterflies

Pruning: cut old flowers back to encourage more

Tolerates: drought tolerant / salt tolerant / deer resistance / rabbit resistance
