This self seeding purple strain benefits from cutting back to produce further flowering. Its compact habit is ideally suited to smaller gardens or middle of the border.

Cut back in winter when you start to tidy up the garden in October/November. If it is a warm Autumn you may get a random flowers stem. Either leave for the insects to use over winter or just trim back to the base.
