A much‑loved native wildflower, long known as ‘self‑heal’ for its traditional use on cuts and scrapes.
A creeping perennial that sends up neat, straight spikes of violet‑blue, hooded flowers all summer into autumn. As with many wildflowers, the colour can vary — and very occasionally you’ll spot a pink or white bloom.
