Spiny foliage with white flowers.
This is a very distinct Arenaria with its silvery blue green spiny foliage that is hair thin. It produces fine sturdy flower stems on mass and doubles the size of the mound at this point when smothered with whit flowers. Ideally grown in a sandy soil or crevice garden we have successfully grown this in our alpine troughs and alpine rock garden.
