Description

Bright yellow flowers. Very unusual.

This is a great small foliage Aeonium which leaves fold up when the plant is going through a dry spell. Regardless of climate this plant always seems to start flowering at RHS Chelsea and can go on until mid July. The flowers attract bees like a magnet and so as striking as the bright yellow flowers are to the human eye I would say bees appreciate much more. We recommend protecting from winter wet as although hardy if kept dry we sometimes lose our rock garden specimens to wet winters.

Flowering: Spring-Summer

Hardiness: Hardy to -7c if kept on dry side through winter

Height: 30cm

Spread: 30cm

Further information:

Trim back flowers when finished to encourage more growth and flowers. Protect from the winter wet. Looks good in the greenhouse or conservatory during the winter months.

Common Name: Spoon-leaved aeonium

Life Cycle: perennial

Family: Crassulaceae

Foliage: Rosette

Basic Colour: ( Yellow)
