    Hi John
Thank you for ordering with us and taking the time to write reviews. We always guarantee the quality of the plants and recommend planting them straight in the garden. If they fail at this point then we will always refund. The Rheum are sold at approx 1 year old as otherwise they get too large to post. Hopefully yours will thrive in the garden and bring you many years of enjoyment. If not always let us know as having grown all our plants from scratch on the nursery our pride is in the quality so always happy to resolve any issues with them.
    All the best
    Laura
