Description

Pink striped flowers on mass in Autumn.

This is a surprisingly hardy variety that if kept in a free draining soil away from excess water will flower in October. Foliage will then take you through winter with seed heads ripening in early spring produces pearlescent black seeds. Perfect for the alpine rock garden, scree or container.

This late autumn flowering bulb flowers most years in the middle of October.

Hardy if kept in alpine gritty soil.

    When it arrived, it looked like tufts of grass, the tufts have wilted a bit with the high winds and cold temperatures, but it’s still alive, so I’m hopeful it will make a full recovery, just so long as I can remind myself not to accidentally pull it out thinking it’s a weed or grass shoot
